Assistant Professor Alexandra Rempel, graduate students Mae-Ling Lokko, Naomi Keena, Kenton Phillips, and Mohamed Aly Etman, and undergraduate student Zachary Pearson from the Rensselaer School of Architecture presented papers at the Passive and Low Energy Architecture (PLEA) Conference in Los Angeles, California. PLEA is a commitment to the development, documentation, and diffusion of the principles of bioclimatic design and the application of natural and innovative techniques for sustainable architecture and urban design. The 2016 PLEA conference is the first occasion since 1981 that the United States has been host to this international event.
